Billed as “Digital Evolution – Staying Ahead of the Changes”, CSC’s latest Digital Brand Forum brought together some of the UK’s top IP security and strategy experts to discuss the most urgent issues facing brand owners today.
Part of a regular worldwide series of events, the May 20th forum had three top-of-mind topics on its agenda: cybersecurity, brand protection and “surviving and thriving in a New gTLD world”.
In the first session, leading experts from the UK’s National Cyber Crime Agency, Nominet, Channel 4, Return Path and CSC Digital Brand Services discussed the latest online security risks including phishing, DDoS attacks and hacking, and discussed best practices for brands.
CSC’s Head of Digital IP Advisory Services, Stina Pilotti, then presented ways to create a time- and cost-effective brand protection programme before Electrolux Senior Trademark Attorney, Carl Wendt, showed how his company puts this kind of thinking into practice.
In the final session, experts from Allianz, SAS/Scandinavian Airlines, ICANN, .london, Donuts, Afilias and CSC discussed the implications of the New gTLD program on the industry, their organizations and the broader digital landscape.
As with all CSC’s Digital Brand Forums, this event was an excellent opportunity to hear up-to-date thinking from the people closest to the industry action and for brand owners to network with their peers.
